Just a
quick note on the RPI game. The story here is as much about us playing in
our last mid-week game of the year than anything, our guys came out with no juice
to start the game and RPI took it to us a bit in the first quarter. They were beating us to loose balls, making
plays with their hustle and looked like the more athletic team as they took a
6-5 lead early on. Once we started
playing with a little more energy we were able to create some great looks in
transition in the 2nd half.
One guy
who we’re planning to have back for Saturday is Johnny Duvnjak
at close defense who sat out today nursing an injury. Johnny brings
a presence and great motor that might have helped us get out to a faster start
today and hopefully will give us a spark against the Jumbos.
Time to
get ready for the Jumbos who have had a great start to the season. They’re
currently ranked in the top 5 in the country and are undefeated so far in
NESCAC play. My guess is that we’re
going to have an exciting one up here in VT this weekend, stay tuned.
