THING TO DO:

1.  We need to push harder on recruiting Masters players.  I faxed around contact sheets to a few guys, but I haven't gotten any feedback yet.  We are moving into the 90 day range - we are nearing the critical stage.

2.  It would be great to pick up another 3-4 players for the Supermasters team.  We have a good shot this year since the opposing teams might be short on players due to the World Games in
Perth.  I would like to see us with a big squad so we can run hard our opponents off the field.

3.  TIME TO SEND MONEY:  Your fee to play in the tournament this year is $60.
Make check payable to:  Middlebury Alumni Lacrosse Club
Mail to:
Robert Sideli
55 James Street
Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706

4.  Make hotel reservation.  To get our group discount rate, you must reserve your room by May 13th.  I have reserved a block of rooms for check-in on June 28th and departure on July 3rd.  Call the Manor Vail Resort  800-950-8245.  Make sure you tell them you are with the Middlebury Alumni Lacrosse Club.

Our group rates are:
Studio Condo  $135/night
1 Bdrm/1 Bath $145/night
2 Bdrm/3 Bath $340/night

5.  Register/Renew your
US Lacrosse membership.  You must be an active member to play in the tournament.  It is a heck of lot easier to just show your US Lacrosse ID at game time than to hassle with signing up and paying.   Call (410) 235-6882   or  download the membership form: http://www.lacrosse.org/pdf/renewltr_2002.pdf

6.  Make your travel plans.   Flights are much cheaper if you book them now.  Over the years, I have seen price swings of up to $200.  After you get a price try contacting the travel service recommended by the tournament organizers.  You might get a better rate.  Contact Eric Tilley at Moguls at 1-800-666-4857, ext. 129 or etilley@skimoguls.com

That's all for now.  The next thing to start planning is your training program, but that can wait until next week.
