Dear
Vail participants:
Today's quote of the day is particularly germane to our Vail endeavor!
Attitude determines altitude.
--Unknown
My interpretation of this quote is that your "attitude" in preparing
for Vail will determine how well you perform at Vail's high mountain
"altitude".
So here are your assignments:
1. Send in your $55 check - I have to make a $1700 payment on April 15th
and I have only received payment from 8 guys. Heck we don't even have
enough players to fill the field, let alone send 2 teams to Vail! If I
don't get enough commitments, I will probably have to drop the
Supermasters team and we will have to compete only at the Masters level again
this year.
2. Start planning your diet. You will be richly rewarded by
dropping 5 -10 of those extra pounds that you put on during the last
year. It is amazing how easy it is to run when you weigh less.
3. Review the Interval Training Program posted on our web site (http://www.middleburylacrosse.org/interval.html).
It really works. Each year
I modify it somewhat due to the arthritis in my knee, but I continue to be able
to show up in Vail in good enough shape to be competitive.
