Dear Vail participants:
1. How are you progressing with your
conditioning program? This morning, I completed the interval
training program as outlined on our web site. This is the 4th year that I
have done the program and it isn't getting any easier! However, it is
always a great day with I run the last sprint. For the next two weeks I
will concentrate on agility drills (running sideways, backwards, diagonally,
etc.) and game simulation exercises, e.g. running back from the midline to the
crease, sprinting after players in an imaginary transition play, etc..
Remember that just because you can run 5 miles does not mean that you will be
prepared to play lacrosse. Get out there and start making
quick moves. You don't want to pull up lame in the first game.
2. Have you contacted Erin about your
equipment needs, especially re: helmet size and need for protective
padding? Email Erin at quinn@middlebury.edu
3. I am planning our evening team
barbecue on Thursday July 6th. Please review the following list and let
me know if I have your numbers are correct. It would be a big help
if you emailed me with the ages of your kids and especially if you are brining
along any guests, e.g. parents.
